Akhilesh heads the IT Advisory practice for KPMG in India and in the EMA (Europe Middle East & Africa) region. In addition, he is the National Head of Technology & BPM (Business Process Management) Sector for the firm. Akhilesh is also the Global co-leader of Cyber Security Strategic Growth Initiative of the firm.; Akhilesh is passionate about developments in the area of information technology and how these can help businesses drive smart processes and effective outcomes.
He has advised over 200 clients on matters relating to IT strategy, right-sourcing, selection of technologies and large scale technology-led business transformation. Currently, Akhilesh is working with a number of clients in developing and realizing the digital strategy through innovative adoption of mobility and analytics.
Akhilesh has extensive experience in the area of information risk management and has helped a large number of clients manage the risks relating to cyber security. He possesses good knowledge of behavior psychology and is enthusiastic about addressing the issues of IT risks in a holistic manner especially through application of user behavior analytics.
Akhilesh is B Tech, MBA and holds CISA, CISSP, CGEIT, CRISC and CFE certifications.
He loves to play with gadgets and is currently spending his leisure time in studying machine learning technologies.
